Synopsis: Fall into the head of Mongolian emperor Kublai Khan to experience this mind-blowing moment of transcendental understanding. In a perpetual conversation with Venetian explorer and philosopher Marco Polo – a dialogue that has spanned centuries – the pair have variously discussed the meaning of the Empire, the fabric of the universe and the nature of existence. As they transcend their own time and find themselves in our present day, Marco offers Kublai a radical new perspective on the world: that it is not stones but stories that hold the cities of the world together.
