被譽為英國舞蹈界「大娛樂家」的編舞大師馬修‧伯恩曾編創無數傑作，其改編芭蕾舞劇一向為人稱道，往往能自經典中翻出新意。名著、傳統舞目、電影、小說落到其手中，無不幻化成意想不到又縈繞人心的作品，廣受觀眾歡迎，他更將不少作品精心拍攝成電影，以便推廣到世界各地的觀眾。
香港藝術節特選了三部伯恩的名作電影版於網上播映，包括先後奪得東尼獎、奧利花獎等共三十多個國際獎項的男版《天鵝湖》，首演二十多年後仍演出不斷。

Synopsis: To complement the special in-venue screening of a new film of Bourne’s The Red Shoes, the HKAF presents, for online streaming, a specially curated series of films of his landmark productions. Assembled by the creative team of his current company, New Adventures, , the series - available for viewing only by registration to a limited audience and for a limited time - is presented alongside three behind-the-scene videos under the PLUS programme, offering a unique insight into the creative process behind each production.
The series begins with Bourne’s 1995 radical re-imagining of Swan Lake, using the original Tchaikovsky score but with an all-male cast of dancers for the swans. This production has won more than 30 international awards, and holds the record for the longest running ballet both in London’s West End and on Broadway.
