成立於1900年的維也納交響樂團,傳載福特萬格勒、卡拉揚等指揮大師的經典風格,自1946年第一屆布雷根茨音樂節開幕以來即擔任常駐樂團,後更成為維也納河畔劇院駐院樂團,深深蘊含維也納文化的緻麗瑰寶。
於2020/21樂季的就職音樂會,來自哥倫比亞的新任音樂總監奧羅斯科–埃斯特拉,呈獻電影音樂大師康戈爾德於年僅14歲時為聲樂與管弦樂所作的《六首簡單的歌》,和史特勞斯絢爛華麗的自傳式交響詩《英雄的一生》。

Synopsis: Crafted and honed by legendary conductors including Furtwängler, Karajan, Sawallisch and Giulini, the Wiener Symphoniker boasts 120 years of rich cultural heritage and musical excellence along with an impressive catalogue of recordings. To this day, the orchestra remains a cherished institution in Vienna and around the world.
With Andrés Orozco-Estrada as its new music director, the Wiener Symphoniker launched a grand new chapter with this festive programme of Viennese works in its 2020/21 Inaugural Concert. Ein Heldenleben embeds the signature Viennese sound of the ensemble and its mastery of the repertoire of Richard Strauss. Lyric soprano Christiane Karg joins the orchestra in excerpts from Korngold’s Einfache Lieder, as well as the ever-popular Marietta’s Lied from his opera Die tote Stadt.
