The performance artists of the world have been united by various international performance festivals, art movements over the decades. Solidarity In Performance Art in the Philippines began in 2016, where the subject of peace is a discourse, performance/art is a form of solidarity.
Solidarity is the heart of the practice of international performance festivals in the world. That artists of different nations gathered in a particular space and time to discuss and exchange ideas. culture and performance and in the process weaved solidarity (in performance) and camaraderie among artists. This practice builds communities of artists and people and art movements in the world.
Amid the pandemic, power conflicts worsen, as seen in the struggle of artists and people in many countries in SouthEast Asia, Latin America and others. This crisis of economics and politics brought culture in crisis.
